Frank DiPascali, who confessed his role in the scam and testified against his longtime co-workers, has no credibility, argued Larry Krantz, the defense lawyer for George Perez, a former Madoff computer programmer.
"Frank DiPascali, their star witness, admitted to you in his testimony that he lied to George Perez and (fellow programmer and defendant) Jerome O'Hara over and over again in order to trick them" into doing computer work needed to continue the scheme, argued Krantz.
PROSECUTOR: Madoff workers knew about fraud
"The fewer the people who knew about the fraud the better. That was the modus operandi of DiPascali and Mr. Madoff," added Krantz.

At Rolls-Royce (RYCEY), new CEO John Rishton had a busy and fruitful start to his tenure. Most importantly, Rishton began to focus Rolls on areas where the company stood to improve, including cash generation, cost structure and customer service. He also successfully extracted the company from its legacy narrow body civil engine joint-venture with Pratt & Whitney (IAE) for an attractive price, positioned Rolls as exclusive supplier for the Airbus A350-1000, further secured the company strong position on the A350 program, and closed the tricky Tognum acquisition which will begin to bear fruit in 2012. While Rolls had not released its 2011 results as of the writing of this letter, both we and the markets expect the company to report mid-to-high single digits revenue growth and low-to-mid-teens earnings growth in the year past.

It's admittedly scary to try and catch a falling knife, but sometimes it's worth the risk. Case in point? AvWorks Aviation Corp. (OTCMKTS:SPLI) .... better known as Vapor Group. Without knowing more about the stock, the sheer fact that SPLI has fallen nearly 90% since March 26th - with about a third of that coming today alone - the stock would be best left avoided by nearly any trader. For the small group of savvy traders that know the tell-tale signs and know how the market really works, however, AvWorks Aviation, or Vapor Group, may be in a prime buying situation today.... yes, even in the midst of this bloodbath.

Currently, three main companies supply security equipment to the TSA - Safran (SAFRY.PK), Smiths (SMGKF.PK), and Level-3 Holdings (LLL). All three of these companies sell the whole range of their products to the TSA, with an ETD offering included. Recently, however, a new company, Implant Sciences Corporation (IMSC.PK) received approval from the TSA to begin selling their ETD equipment to airport security professionals. This approval has opened the door for IMSC to begin taking some market share away from the more established players in the US and beyond.
