SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) ��EBay Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. are expected to be in focus on Monday, which is also dubbed ��yber Monday��in reference to competitive prices offered by online retailers as the holiday shopping season gets underway.

Shares of eBay (EBAY) �rose 2.5% and Amazon (AMZN) �gained 1.8% on Friday, outperforming shares of brick-and-mortar stores such as Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT) ,�which edged up 0.1%, and Target Corp. (TGT) , which slipped 0.8%.

    West Marine (Nasdaq: WMAR) is an undervalued retailer.  The company is going through a change in focus from a bricks and mortar boat product retailer to a fully integrated retail and wholesale business through bricks and clicks, targeting the boating and water enthusiast customer.   Recent results have been affected by a severe rainy and cool spring which hurt boat usage and delayed the start of the season.  The company has accelerated cash investments to build larger more productive stores and expand its ecommerce abilities, consequently affecting free cash flow short term.  The stock lacks sponsorship as there is only one research report written on the company by a small boutique firm.  The stock trades at only book value despite the company being the leading industry player with a solid balance sheet and significant net cash position.

The Pantry, Inc. operates a chain of convenience stores in the southeastern United States. The company?s stores offer a selection of merchandise, fuel, and ancillary products and services. The company operates stores under various selected banners, which primarily include Kangaroo Express.     Movers and shakers: Alcoa Inc. (AA) �shares dropped 5.4% after the aluminum producer said it swung to a fourth-quarter loss. The firm also said Thursday it had settled charges of corruption in Bahrain with a $384 million payout to the Securities and Exchange Commission and Department of Justice. Abercrombie & Fitch�� shares (ANF) �rallied 12% after the firm raised its full-year adjusted earnings projections. Gap Inc. (GPS) � gained 1.1% after saying it expects full-year earnings near the top of its projected range of $2.57 to $2.65. The firm also said same-store sales in December were flat, missing expectations of a 1.5% increase, according to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters. Sears Holdings Corp. (SHLD) �disappointed the market with plunging same-store sales, sending its shares tumbling 13.8% Friday. The company said it had a 7.4% decline in quarter-to-date holiday-season comparable sales. Five Below Inc. (FIVE) �tanked 7.2% after updating its guidance for the three months ended January 4. The retailer said it now expects adjusted per share profit to be between 44 cents and 46 cents. In December, the firm said it expected adjusted profit of 49 cents to 51 cents.

    Big earnings movers: Tiffany & Co. (NYSE: TIF) reported better-than-expected earnings and revenues and raised its guidance slightly, but even posting a new 52-week high early could hold the stock from dropping about 1.3% today. Brown Shoe Co. Inc. (NYSE: BWS) also posted good earnings, but followed with slightly lower EPS guidance and the stock lost about 9%, trading around $21.60 in a 52-week range of $13.68 to $24.78. Another footwear maker, DSW Inc. (NYSE: DSW) put up good results and raised its guidance as well, sending shares up more than 9% to a new 52-week high of $88.73 in the mid-morning.
